Nasi Goreng Recipe - Indonesian dish

Preparation Time: approx. 25 minutes

Ingredients:
1 packet Conimex Mix Voor Nasi Goreng
400g (14 1/8 oz.) white rice
400g (14 1/8 oz.) unsalted pork, cubed
100g (3 ½ oz.) bacon, cubed
1 onion and 1 leek or 250g (8 ¾ oz.), sliced thin; and/or fresh vegetable of choice
2 eggs
2 tbsp (30ml) oil
100mL (½ cup) water
Directions:
- 1. Cook the rice according to instructions on packet
- 2. Add the contents of the Mix voor Nasi Goreng to 1/2 cup of boiling water and cook on low for about 10 minutes.
- 3. Cook the bacon in the wok oil. Drain most of the fat off.
- 4. Add the cubed pork and fry till brown, add the shredded onions and fry till golden and soft. Add any other vegetables of your choice to the wok, stir fry 1 minute.
- 5. Add the Nasi mix and the eggs and mix well, unttill egg is cooked.
- 6. Finally add the rice and stir it all together over heat.
Tips and Varieties:
Use Sambal and Ketjap to taste.
Serve the Nasi with omelet pieces and Peanut sauce.
